In this 7-week Performance Creation Lab, intermediate and advanced students will develop an original act with guided support and creative tools for performance-making in any circus discipline or apparatus.Students should plan to also attend one open studio per week in addition to class time to hone and develop their acts. Through improvisational prompts, compositional exercises, and group feedback, students will explore choreography, stage presence, musicality, pacing, and audience connection while developing their own artistic voice. Students will leave with a stronger creative process and a developed solo act intended to be performed at a student showcase or the Amherst Block Party.
